A solid understanding of configuration management and data analysis methodologies is essential. You will also need to define data standards, taxonomies, and naming conventions, particularly in relation to IT Service Management (ITSM). Familiarity with ITIL principles, particularly Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), is crucial.
