Our client based in West Drayton is looking for a Quality Manager reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Role:
The Quality Manager will be an experienced, skilled manager of quality assurance and quality control in manufacturing and distribution environments within Far East locations.
Our client seeks someone with broad business experience including quality, product safety, systems & processes, and operational areas in food contact plastics, printing, and some textiles. An engineering discipline would be advantageous for understanding product manufacturing and associated risks. The role involves responsibility for safety, quality, compliance, and ethical issues for all items distributed.
This position offers an opportunity to be directly involved in and influence product design, working closely with product development at all stages.
The ideal candidate is a practical ‘hands-on’ manager capable of handling multiple licensed projects simultaneously, working calmly under pressure with excellent attention to detail and customer service.
Must be an experienced problem solver, effectively implementing practical corrective actions (system and product) to improve products and processes.

* Determine product and component-specific test requirements, generate product qualification/test plan documents, conduct risk assessments, and maintain technical files.
* Provide compliance packaging copy to the design department promptly.
* Monitor product integrity performance in the market and ensure effective and timely responses to safety/quality issues.
* Oversee and achieve factory audits, understanding technical and ethical auditing standards such as FCA, SMETA, BSCI.
* Develop, implement, and monitor QA policies and procedures.
* Develop and maintain global product safety design requirements and guidelines.
* Manage product safety reporting and analysis.
* Introduce and develop quality assurance tools within the product design and introduction process.
* Possess working knowledge of safety regulations and directives in the UK, EU, and globally, including food contact and general product safety regulations.
* Maintain and develop consumer complaint and returns analysis systems for quality improvement.
* Oversee inspection criteria at factories and harmonize inspection policies, procedures, and standards.
* Maintain and upgrade the company's quality manual in line with latest regulations and retailer expectations.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
