Rate: £300–£350 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new-build industrial project in Gateshead. This role is with a trusted subcontractor specialising in mezzanine floor installations, so prior experience in this area is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all site operations for the project, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
* Coordinate subcontractors and labour on-site.
* Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
* Maintain strict health and safety standards in line with SMSTS requirements.
* Report to senior management and liaise with the main contractor as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing mezzanine floor installations on commercial or industrial projects.
* Valid SMSTS qualification is essential.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and problem-solve on-site.
* Experience managing budgets, schedules, and health & safety compliance.
