A globally established organisation is seeking an experienced SAP Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of master data solutions within a large-scale SAP transformation programme.
This role will focus on defining and implementing end-to-end master data architecture across complex SAP landscapes, ensuring data quality, consistency and governance across key business domains. You will play a critical role in shaping how master data supports core business processes across finance, supply chain and operations.
Responsibilities for the SAP Data Architect:
* Define and lead SAP Master Data architecture across ECC and S/4HANA environments
* Develop and implement data governance strategies to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance
* Design conceptual, logical and physical data models to support enterprise-wide data management
* Translate business requirements into scalable and secure data solutions
* Oversee integration of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems using PI/PO, CPI and APIs
* Provide architectural guidance across SAP transformation, migration and implementation programmes
* Support SIT, UAT, performance testing and cutover activities for master data readiness
* Lead resolution of complex data issues and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (eg GDPR)
Essential Skills for the SAP Data Architect:
* Proven experience as an SAP Data Architect or Master Data Architect
* Strong experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance frameworks
* Deep understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments and migration approaches
* Experience designing end-to-end data architecture and data models
* Strong understanding of business processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing and sales
* Experience with SAP integration technologies (PI/PO, CPI, APIs, Middleware)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Desirable Skills for the SAP Data Architect:
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP within SAP environments
* Experience delivering end-to-end SAP transformation programmes
* Knowledge of ITIL-based processes
* Relevant SAP certifications
* Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
