A large and well-established secondary school in south Birmingham is looking to appoint a highly organised HR Administrator to join its professional support team from January 2026. This is a varied, people-focused role ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a warm, confidential approach.
The Role
You’ll support day-to-day HR operations, working closely with the HR Manager and wider leadership team. Key responsibilities include:
* Handling recruitment administration, including adverts, shortlisting packs and interview coordination
* Managing staff onboarding, safer recruitment checks and personnel files
* Updating HR systems, absence records and safeguarding documentation
* Preparing letters, contracts and payroll information
* Supporting HR queries from staff and maintaining excellent communication
The school has over 1,500 students and a large staff body, so the work is fast-paced but supported by a friendly, experienced team.
