Learning Mentor - Primary School - Tower Hamlets (Near Mile End Station)
Location: Tower Hamlets - Walking distance from Mile End Station
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £95 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Are you a compassionate, resilient, and proactive individual passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning? A supportive primary school in Tower Hamlets, just a short walk from Mile End station, is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join their team from September 2025.
As a Learning Mentor, you will:
* Work closely with pupils identified as needing emotional, behavioural, or social support
* Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
* Support children both in and out of the classroom to help them engage with learning
* Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions to improve confidence, motivation, and emotional regulation
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support individual pupil progress
The ideal Learning Mentor will have:
* Previous experience working with children or young people in a pastoral or support capacity
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong rapport
* A calm, empathetic and consistent approach
* An understanding of how social, emotional, and behavioural challenges impact learning
* A desire to make a genuine difference in children's lives
