Overview
Site Manager role at Watson.
Responsibilities
* Report to the Contracts Manager on day-to-day site operations.
* Take full responsibility for health and safety on site, protection of works, presentation and product quality.
* Work to the agreed build programme and financial parameters for the development.
* Read, understand and comply with company policies and procedures and implement on site.
* Ensure all trades work in accordance with trade specifications.
* Manage, motivate and support directly employed site staff through performance monitoring.
* Own the build programme, providing 4-week look-aheads with weekly reviews to achieve development completion targets.
* Conform to building regulations and warranty provider requirements.
* Understand contractual requirements of the development and ensure compliance of contractors’ proposals, employers’ requirements, main contracts and third-party agreements.
* Attend regular development review meetings to address site progress, programme and quality.
* Complete required quality inspections and take timely action using the development management system.
* Take action on findings from departmental audits in a timely manner.

* Effective communication with internal and external personnel.
* Strong leadership skills.

* Enthusiastic with good attention to detail.
* Able to engage in training.
Qualifications & Training – Essential
* Level 4 or equivalent in a construction-based qualification.
* CSCS – Site Manager level.
* SMSTS.
* First Aid at Work.
* Basic Scaffold Inspection.
* Good working knowledge of Building Regulations.
Qualifications & Training – Desirable
* Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
* IPAF MEWPS for Managers.
* PASMA Management of Mobile Access Towers.
* Asbestos Awareness.
* Fire Warden.
* Mental Health First Aid.
* Good knowledge of LABC standards and Robust details/Accredited details.
Experience
* Previous site management experience.
* Competent in masonry build process.
* Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation.
Working relationships
It is important to form strong working relationships with both internal and external people.
* Internal: Directly employed site staff, Contracts Manager, Procurement & Commercial staff, HR, Design/Technical staff, Planners, Directors.
* External: Sub-Contractors, suppliers, LABC representatives, customers and members of the public.
