REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading producer of organic matter used for various industries
Location: DoncasterSalary: from £55,000 to £65,000
We’re looking for a hands-on Site Manager to lead daily operations at our composting facility. You’ll ensure the site runs safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental and health & safety standards.
What you’ll do
* Oversee compost production and site operations
* Monitor temperatures, moisture, aeration, and material quality
* Supervise and train staff, ensuring safe working practices
* Manage odour control, pest control, and site inspections
* Maintain accurate production, compliance, and performance records
* Ensure all compost meets PAS100 quality standards
What we’re looking for
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organisation and record-keeping
* Understanding of PAS100 and Council tenders (advantageous)
* IOSH/NEBOSH + WAMITAB/COTC qualifications
* Flexible, safety-focused, and comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work
