We're delighted to be recruiting for a Group Safeguarding Manager to join our exciting Specialist Residential Services team.
This is a permanent role based in Collins House office in Eastleigh, although travel to locations across the group is required.
Your main purpose will be to lead and manage on Abri's safeguarding policies, procedures, and practices to protect individuals from harm and abuse.
Overseeing the training programme and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
You'll be the lead for point of contact for Safeguarding enquiries and cases. This will include supporting the wider business with expert advice and training where required.
As well as managing the safeguarding provision, you'll work with third-party agencies to address potential risks, share best practise and participate in multi-agency case management.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate knowledge and experience in a senior management role relating to Safeguarding, together with an understanding of the legislation effecting vulnerable customers (in particular Children Act 2004, the Care Act 2014, and the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006).
You'll have demonstrable knowledge and experience of applying safeguarding legislation, working with local authorities and 3rd party agencies to ensure the best outcomes for our customers.
You'll need to be able to deal with difficult, sensitive and challenging behaviour and situations in a calm and professional manner, whilst using your initiative to problem solve.
