Your new roleIn this role as HR Manager, you will be a strategic HR partner, aligning the workforce with organisational goals by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. You will act as a key link between employees and management, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and support for a positive workplace experience. You'll lead core HR operations to support a positive and productive workplace. This will include:
* Managing employee relations, performance, and attendance.
* Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and safety training.
* Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
* Administering benefits, leave, and compliance with employment and union agreements.
* Partnering with management on workforce planning and staffing needs.
* Employee Engagement
What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this position, and to be successful in the post, you are required to have the following:
* Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and workplace safety.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with discretion and empathy.
* Calm, measured approach to problem-solving.
* Experience with union and collective bargaining agreements.
* Be able to demonstrate experience in a management role.
* Proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
* Full UK driving licence.
