Overview

Equans is looking for a Site Manager to join our team at Tuxford Academy, Markham Rd, Newark-on-Trent, NG22 0JH. This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week. The salary is £30,000 per annum with a benefits package. Shift times: Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30.


Responsibilities

* Be responsible for the day-to-day running and security of the site.
* Ensure safeguarding requirements are met, including relevant training.
* Lead a team of multi-skilled caretakers to provide an exceptional service to project stakeholders.
* Provide an effective reactive and planned maintenance service for the school, upholding the standards in the PFI Performance Management document.
* Manage Equans staff and all Contractors/Sub-Contractors on site, ensuring Health and Safety and Equans procedures and policies are upheld.
* Keep site records up to date including PPMs, Work Orders, Site Log Books, Visitor/Induction records.
* Close off/update Work Orders in relation to their sites.
* Undertake general caretaking duties (porter services, reactive cleaning, maintenance tasks, Planned Maintenance such as Legionnaires checks, door condition checks, etc.), in all weathers, including litter picking, gritting, and leaf removal.
* Provide regular support to the school to enable delivery of the teaching curriculum and communicate with school representatives.
* Undertake and record statutory and mandatory planned maintenance duties.
* Log reactive maintenance tasks on the Helpdesk and proactively follow up under the service level agreement.

Who are we looking for?

This role reports to the Facilities Manager. General caretaking experience is advantageous, but not essential. The candidate must:

* Promote good customer relationships
* Have safeguarding experience in an education environment
* Have a proven track record of practical maintenance skills
* Have a good understanding of building services (boilers, heating, lighting, water management)
* Have good knowledge of Health and Safety
* Be able to follow site and company policies and procedures
* Have good communication skills and the ability to converse with people at all levels
* Have a sound understanding of services and plant to be maintained within the building
* Live within 30 minutes of the site to provide reactive call-out cover if required
* Good IT skills (Desirable)
* Full valid UK Driving Licence

A full enhanced DBS clearance will be required before taking up position.
