Job Description
Location: Central London (5 Days On-site)
Reports To: UK Country Manager
The Opportunity
I am partnered with a leading precious metals company that has been a cornerstone of the industry for over a decade. Specialising in the buying and selling of gold and other precious metals, they have built a global reputation for excellence, transparency, and a high-end market presence.
Following a highly successful expansion across the United States and Europe, the company is now entering an aggressive growth phase within the UK. They aren’t just opening doors—they are building a legacy. They are looking for a visionary HR leader with an entrepreneurial mindset to transition our first UK boutiques into a nationwide powerhouse.
Mission
As the HR Specialist, you will be the architect of our human capital strategy. This is a role for a builder, not just a maintainer. You will move beyond day-to-day administration to serve as a key business partner, designing a recruitment and culture framework that can scale rapidly while ensuring every new branch reflects our luxury global standards.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Scaling: Design and execute the HR blueprint to take the company from its initial boutiques to a nationwide presence.
* Entrepreneurial Leadership: Transition from a solo lead to building and managing a high-performing HR department from the ground up.
* Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment strategy for all new UK branch openings, identifying top-tier talent that aligns with a luxury service ethos.
* Full Lifecycle HR: Maintain a "hands-on" approach to payroll, contracts, compliance, and training during the scaling phase.
* Management Support: Act as the primary strategic advisor for boutique managers on employee relations and performance.
* Culture Champion: Define onboarding and internal events to ensure our "service-first" luxury culture remains uncompromised during rapid expansion.
Requirements
* Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are a self-starter who thrives in "Year Zero" environments. You treat the business as your own and possess the grit to navigate the ambiguity of a rapid scale-up.
* Scaling Expertise: A proven track record or interest in scaling a company or business unit, specifically managing HR across multiple new retail or boutique locations.
* Professional Background: Experience as an HR Manager/Director, ideally with exposure in Luxury.
* Operational Excellence: Deep knowledge of UK employment law and payroll, with the ability to build systems that remain robust under growth pressure.
* Presence: A full-time commitment of 5 days per week in the office is required to lead this critical growth phase effectively and maintain the pulse of the brand.
