ACR is working in partnership with a Tier One Developer / Contractor for an experienced Site Manager to join their Construction Team.
The project is a multi-phase scheme, all RC frame, with circa 300 units to be completed.
Primary Responsibilities
* Manage a construction site to ensure the development is completed on time, to specification, and in compliance with safety regulations, as well as company and construction build and quality standards.
* Ensure all quality and safety inspections meet quality control standards and are carried out according to group guidelines.
* Facilitate communication and coordinate activities with external third parties, such as warranty providers, local authorities, and utility companies, to ensure the achievement of the build programme.
* Maintain accurate records for the development, including staff inductions, health, safety and environment reports, timesheets, incident reports, and quality control checklists.
* Ensure materials are called off in a timely manner, checked, and stored according to group guidelines.
* Direct and supervise the activity of the workforce, including all subcontractors, to ensure works are completed on time, to the desired quality standards, and within budget.
* Work cohesively with other departments across the operating company, such as sales and customer care, to ensure targets are met, including prompt resolution of customer care issues and timely updates on plot progress.
* Ensure compliance of the site workforce and visitors with the group’s health, safety, and environment policy to minimize incidents and accidents.
* This role involves travel across various sites in the region and occasional trips to other group offices.
What experience do I need?
* Experience within the house-building industry is essential.
* Understanding of NHBC, LABC, or Premier standards.
* Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is preferred.
* Full UK driving licence is required.
* Qualified to minimum NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management is preferred.
