Role: Senior Developer (Trading Systems)

X4 Technology are partnered with a high-growth, well-capitalised trading house in London, offering a unique opportunity for a Senior Developer (Trading Systems) to join their global team of 400.
In this key position within their technology group, you'll help drive the innovation and evolution of vendor and proprietary trading platforms - developing solutions to support key functions like trade capture, market connectivity, STP, risk, pricing and settlement.
You'll also contribute to major investments in their system enhancement, customisation and integration - linking their core trading systems with modern SaaS solutions for analytics, hedging, credit, regulatory reporting and more.
Responsibilities of the Senior Developer (Trading Systems):
* Creating new features within Trading Systems to facilitate company growth
* Building solutions for front office users (trade entry, exchange interfaces, STP, etc)
* Designing new bespoke views
* Customising Trading System user interface using ClassEvents (C#.NET)
* Modifying the Trading System data model directly in the SQLServer database
* Enhancing test automation and ability to unit test custom code
* Developing customised applications (APIs, loaders, reports, data pipelines, BI tools)
* Quickly acquiring new technical skills (Azure IaaS/PaaS, Crystal Reports, Python, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, etc.)
Requirements of the Senior Developer (ETRM)
* Proven experience within trading environments (hedge funds, investment banks, trading houses, asset managers, fintechs, trading vendors eg ETRM platforms)
* Familiarity with front-office trading concepts and workflows
* Strong C#.NET development
* Excellent SQLServer Database design and optimisation skills
* High motivation to continually develop technical skillset
* Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
