Overview
This role is to work as part of the Information Systems & Services (IS&S) team to support the business program managers. The role involves the development and delivery of bespoke capabilities identified via Value Propositions and Tasks. The role will maintain high levels of application availability to support all contracted services delivered as part of the wider business programme. The Oracle APEX Developer is the point of contact for all support and development of appointed APEX applications.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop web-based applications using Oracle APEX.
* Manage end-to-end software development lifecycle and apply good project management practices.
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver solutions that meet customer needs to defined quality standards, timescales, and budgets.
* Provide ongoing support and development of appointed APEX applications.
* Engage with internal stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery.
Qualifications
* Considerable experience in an Oracle development environment.
* Strong experience with Oracle APEX.
* Oracle PL/SQL; Oracle databases (v19c).
* XML, CSS, HTML, JavaScript.
* Experience with development tools (JDeveloper, SQL Developer).
* Requirements gathering, analysis, and design; good project management abilities.
* Proven track record delivering solutions through full lifecycle.
* Oracle Fusion Middleware; OID/OUD/LDAP.
The following are desirable:
* SharePoint Portal.
* ITIL methodologies (change and release management).
* Source Control (e.g., TortoiseSVN).
* Oracle WebCenter Portal (v12c).
* Experience in the defence industry.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary £44,400 to £55,500 depending on experience plus flexible benefits package.
* Hybrid working: ~2 days per month on site.
