Retail HR Manager - Fashion | London
We're partnering with a leading fashion retailer to hire a Retail HR Manager, reporting into the Head of HR, to support UK store operations and London head office. This is a hands-on, people-first role where you'll partner with Area/Store Managers and Heads of Department to drive performance, culture and capability across a fast-paced retail estate.
What you'll be doing
* Partner with retail leadership on all people matters: workforce planning, succession, talent pipelines and store openings/closures.
* Lead ER across the region (advice, investigations, disciplinaries/grievances), coaching managers to handle issues confidently and fairly.
* Own the retail people plan: engagement, wellbeing, DE&I initiatives and ways of working that lift performance.
* Oversee recruitment across stores with a focus on quality hire and speed to fill; support assessment and selection.
* Shape learning and development: induction, manager capability, bite-size training and on-the-job coaching.
* Guide annual cycles (performance, pay/reward inputs, bonus and recognition).
* Use people data to spot trends, recommend actions and measure impact.
* Act as custodian of policy and best practice; ensure compliance with employment law and company standards.
* Be visible in stores; build trust with managers and teams through regular visits.
About you
* Proven multi-site retail HR experience
* Confident ER practitioner with sound UK employment law knowledge.
* Commercial, data-literate and solutions focused; comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders.
* Organised, resilient and happy in a fast-moving, change-heavy environment.
