Location: Hull (90% field‑based) - Territory includes Hull, Whitby, Wetherby, and Pontefract
Salary: £35,000 base
Bonus: Uncapped (realistic first‑year earnings: £8,000)

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, results‑driven Business Development Executive to drive new business growth across the region. This is a field‑based role where you'll spend most of your time meeting potential customers, developing relationships, and promoting a comprehensive range of industrial products used across multiple sectors.
This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced sales environment, enjoys being out in the field, and takes pride in building strong, long‑lasting customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, target, and onboard new customers across your territory through structured field visits.
Build and execute a robust sales plan to maximise commercial opportunities.
Lead prospecting activity, from cold visits to in‑person relationship building.
Promote and sell a full range of products and services, acting as a consultant to understand customer needs and provide the right solutions.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements while ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Maintain customer satisfaction as the top priority, ensuring all interactions reflect a high standard of professionalism.
Ensure all activity aligns with Safety, Health, and Environment best practices.
Work closely with the Area Sales Manager to refine prospect lists, share insights, and continuously improve service delivery.
About You
We're looking for a confident, proactive individual who enjoys meeting new people and thrives in a target‑driven, industrial sales environment. You will bring:
Experience in sales and new business prospecting.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to quickly establish rapport.
Ideally, experience within industrial, engineering, welding, or technical product sales (desirable, not essential).
A professional and confident communication style across phone, email, and in‑person meetings.
Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the region regularly.
