Title: Frontend Developer (React) | Salary: Up to £55,000 | Location: Bristol (On-site)

The client is a market-leading energy trading firm playing a key role in balancing the Grid and supporting decarbonisation. With a strong presence in the UK and European power markets, they operate in a fast-moving environment where technology and real-time insight drive trading decisions. The role focuses on front-end tooling used by Traders and Data Scientists.
The Opportunity
You'll join their front-end engineering team to design, build, and maintain powerful trading interfaces used directly by Traders and Data Scientists. These tools provide real-time visibility of market movements, enabling the business to act quickly and effectively. The company is modernising its stack, moving away from legacy architecture and adopting Remix, keeping the front-end clean, efficient, and future-ready.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain front-end trading interfaces used by Traders and Data Scientists.
* Ensure real-time visibility of market movements to support quick and effective decision-making.
* Collaborate with Traders, Data Scientists, and other Engineers to deliver robust tools.
Requirements
* Strong JavaScript skills and modern front-end development experience
* Proven experience building UI with React
* Solid HTML/CSS and familiarity with frameworks like Tailwind
* Experience with Git and collaborative workflows
* Based in or able to commute to Bristol (on-site 5 days a week)
* Nice to Have: Remix or other modern JS frameworks
* SQL knowledge
* Exposure to UX design, AWS or working alongside data teams (Python/R)
