VANRATH are recruiting a Site Manager to work for an award-winning Main Contractor based in Belfast. Remuneration: c£45,000 to £50,000 package Client: Our client is an award-winning Main Contractor that has been operating in the construction industry for decades. They started out as a small building contractor and have evolved into a multi-faceted organisation that work on a range of projects across multiple sectors. The business carry out new builds, refurbishments, extensions and alterations across commercial, retail, education, social housing, industrial and social housing sectors. They have recently won multiple new large projects and as a result are looking for a Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis. New projects are based in Belfast and Antrim long term. The Role: Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Site Manager is responsible for the on-site management team and will be tasked with delivering a quality project, on budget, safely and on time. Work closely with the Contracts Manager to plan the project effectively ensuring project requirements, specifications, design drawings and Health & Safety proposals are agreed, and a programme is in place Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site team and the work of any subcontractors Manage all site-based operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work including carrying out safety inductions, toolbox talks, controlling the quality of work, ensuring method statement and order fulfilment, cleanliness and tidiness, the use of plant and tools, the reduction of waste and use of PPE Managing and maintaining the client relationship function to ensure client satisfaction Reviewing performance against targets and identifying and managing potential risks and opportunities Proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and associated reporting to the Contracts Manager or Operations Director Establish and maintain storage facilities for materials, plant and tools managing stock to meet agreed deadlines and budget of the project Managing project handover and ensuring defect/ snag free completion Sharing best practice and driving continuous improvements Experience: Degree / HND in a construction related discipline At least 3 years' experience in a Site Manager role working on projects ranging from £3M Experience working on a range of projects across various sectors (new build, conversions, refurbishments) Sound knowledge of latest building regulations, legislation and Health and Safety Knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations CSR / CSCS Card Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise Flexible and positive approach to working Qualified first aider desirable For further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact Robert Apps for a confidential discussion Skills: Site Manager Construction New Build Refurbishment Built Environment Benefits: package
