We are looking for a passionate individual to join our senior management team as a Human Resources Manager at our Braintree site.

Your Role
As Human Resources Manager, you will provide strategic and operational HR support to employees and the Executive Committee, managing a team of two (HR & HSE). You will oversee the full employee lifecycle and all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) aspects for a perimeter of 90 staff members.
Key responsibilities include:
HR Administration:
* Lead payroll, compensation & benefits, HRIS data management, and reporting.
* Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with HMRC.
* Manage training systems and ensure regulatory training targets are met.
* Maintain HR records in line with UK Data Protection laws.
Manager Support:
* Advise managers on employment law, recruitment, performance reviews, and employee relations.
* Support onboarding, absence management, disciplinary processes, and retention strategies.
Employee Development:
* Promote internal mobility and manage external recruitment.
* Drive career path planning and maintain job descriptions.
HR Strategy & Policy:
* Lead annual performance and salary review campaigns.
* Conduct people reviews and talent identification.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment law and Safran policies.
Health, Safety & Environment:
* Supervise HSE standards and initiatives.
* Promote wellbeing and quality of work life through steering committees.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
* Proven experience in HR management, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
* Experience managing payroll and HR systems
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
Desirable:
* Experience in HSE management
* CIPD qualification or equivalent
* Familiarity with aerospace or industrial sectors
