My client is a leading building contractor based in the Yorkshire/ North Lincolnshire area, operating throughout the UK. They have an excellent track record for delivery and are the go to contractor for many blue chip retail clients. Throughout their history they have client that continually return due to the strong relationships they have built with them. They are looking for a Site Manager to join their existing team and as part of that team you will be responsible for delivering new build retail projects to the value of £3M. Although you will be based in the North, close to the Hull area but will be required to work away from home. Required skills: • Civil, Steel framework and groundwork experience are essential • The ability to take projects from inception to completion and deliver on time with minimal defects • Must be number 1 on site • Must have SMSTS, CSCS and 5 day first aid • Prepared to work throughout England • Setting out experience preferable • A real desire to deliver quality • Good communicator and resource manager • Ability to prepare short term programmes • Capable of contributing with design and detailing and communicating with Architects and Engineer • Good understanding of Health and Safety and CDM. Also capable of preparing RAMS • Understanding of Building Regulations • Capable of taking off and procuring materials • Self-motivated working single handed at site level with visiting Contracts Manager support on projects up to £1m / 20weeks Responsibilities • Managing the site team and ensuring the site delivery of the project • Ensure all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to at all times • Responsibility for the successful implementation of projects, timelines critical milestones, quality and costs, including the production of purchase orders In return you will receive a market leading salary, excellent long term growth opportunities and the opportunity to join a forward thinking and progressive organisation.
