About the role

We’re looking for a Reward Manager to shape and deliver our Group pay and benefits agenda. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and management of competitive reward structures that attract, retain, and motivate our colleagues.

Working closely with People Business Partners and business leaders, you’ll provide expert guidance on pay structures, annual bonus and pay review cycles, and wider compensation initiatives. You’ll bring strong analytical expertise and a sharp understanding of market trends to ensure our reward approach is fair, competitive, and aligned to business goals.

As a people leader, you’ll support the development of a small but high-performing reward team, fostering growth, collaboration and engagement. This role is ideal for someone with a strong compensation background and proven business partnering skills, who thrives on combining data-driven insight with commercial acumen to deliver impactful reward solutions.

Key responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to ensure our pay and benefits remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
* Develop and maintain a fair and motivating compensation structure, covering base salaries, incentives, bonuses, and performance-based pay increases.
* Manage benefits programs, including share schemes, health insurance, and pension plans, while building strong relationships with external suppliers.
* Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
* Partner closely with People Business Partners and hiring managers to evaluate roles and determine appropriate pay levels.
* Analyse and interpret compensation and benefits data to spot trends, highlight issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Clearly communicate pay and benefits policies, programs, and updates to employees and management, fostering transparency and understanding.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise compensation and benefits costs while maintaining market competitiveness.
* Provide guidance, coaching, and training to managers and employees on compensation and benefits matters, supporting a confident and informed workforce.
* Lead, motivate, and inspire a small Reward team of three, fostering development, high performance, and a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

About you

* Proven experience in a similar Reward role with a focus on designing and implementing effective reward strategies.
* Deep expertise in compensation and pay practices, including benchmarking, market analysis, pay structures, and incentive programs.
* Demonstrated people leadership, inspiring and developing high-performing teams to achieve results.
* Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in using compensation tools and HRIS systems to interpret data and inform decision-making.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively with managers, leaders, and cross-functional teams.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
* Experienced in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information with discretion.
