Key Responsibilities
* Employee Relations & HR Operations
o Lead on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
o Ensure HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook remain compliant and up to date
o Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees across all sites
o Drive HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects
o Analyse exit interview trends to support retention and recruitment strategies
o Promote a fair, consistent, and positive employee experience throughout the business
* Recruitment, Training & Development
o Manage the full recruitment and onboarding process
o Support managers with interviewing, selection, and workforce planning
o Coordinate contracts, employee documentation, and HR records
o Assist with appraisal systems, succession planning, and development pathways
o Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development activities
o Coach and support managers to strengthen people management capability
* Health & Safety Support
o Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all locations
o Support compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
o Coordinate inductions, training records, and refresher training
o Assist with accident investigations and wellbeing initiatives
o Monitor absence trends and support workplace welfare practices
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Manager level
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Confident managing employee relations casework independently
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* Highly organised with a proactive and solutions‑focused mindset
* Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
* CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous
