Community and Enterprise Resources seek to recruit a Cook-in-Charge to ensure the efficient operation and management of a catering service within a premise. The role involves supervising a team of Facilities Assistants (catering).
Your responsibilities will include duty allocation, work rotas, basic training, attendance management, clerical and financial duties, meal preparation, ordering goods, quality audits, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Effective communication skills, initiative, workload prioritization, teamwork, and customer service experience are essential.
The main responsibilities include:
* Supervising a team of Facility Assistants (Catering), including training, recruitment, attendance management, and team briefings.
* Providing a quality service and reporting stock or quality issues to management.
* Managing financial transactions, including cash counting and recording (CDCH3).
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of menu items.
* Managing catering functions and food transfer within and outside the kitchen.
* Performing practical food storage, preparation, cooking, and cleaning tasks.
