Here at AIS, we have an exciting opportunity available for a HR Manager to join our HR team based in Solihull. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary, depending on experience.

As our HR Manager, you will manage the HR team in delivering exceptional HR services across the business, including providing HR advice and support encompassing employee relations, recruitment, training, and employee engagement. Drive forward all employee relations activity to include benefits coordination, pay review, policy review, and support the Director of HR with the delivery of the HR strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Be the main point of contact for all employees and line managers for all HR matters, providing professional, credible, and timely advice.
2. Provide support and advice with disciplinary, grievance, dismissal, and capability procedures, ensuring these are followed in line with current legislation. Provide coaching and support to managers as required.
3. Responsible for managing, coaching, and developing the HR Generalist & Administrator.
4. Support the Director of HR with projects and all strategy activities such as policy review, KPI reporting, and the coordination of the annual employee opinion survey.
5. Ensure all HR policies and initiatives are communicated and rolled out appropriately across the business. Regularly review policies and procedures and associated HR documentation, ensuring they are updated in line with employment legislation changes.
6. Proactively identify recruitment needs and coordinate recruitment activity across the business, including administration, contracting, and onboarding of employees. Support with interviewing and assessing candidates as required. Review and update job descriptions with Heads of department as appropriate.
7. Deliver and facilitate training within the business as well as amongst the membership where required.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and generalist HR best practices and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing development of self.


Skills & Experience:

1. CIPD qualified
2. Up-to-date knowledge of employment law
3. Previous experience in a similar role at management level (including Line Management)
4. Extensive generalist experience in all people matters, preferably within a retail environment
5. Passion for driving high levels of employee engagement
6. Enthusiastic, self-confident, proactive, diligent, and self-motivated
7. Excellent honest and open communication skills both externally and at all levels in the company
8. Effective interpersonal skills ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently and tactfully
9. Commercially minded individual
10. Ability to take ownership and be accountable
11. Calm and able to work effectively under pressure
12. Maintain a professional approach at all times
