Quality Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and services consistently meet our standards of reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role leads the quality management function across the business, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and embedding a culture of quality ownership throughout the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator and leader, capable of working across departments and with our supply chain to continuously improve product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and People Management
•Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team to ensure clarity of purpose, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
•Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and problem-solving across all departments.
•Act as a visible and trusted leader for quality throughout the organisation.
Product Reliability and Safety
•Ensure robust quality control systems are in place to verify product reliability and safety at all stages of production.
•Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for product failures, ensuring systemic issues are resolved and prevented.
•Oversee product compliance and certification requirements in collaboration with R&D, production, and suppliers.
Customer Satisfaction
•Monitor customer feedback and warranty data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
•Drive cross-functional improvement initiatives to address product or process issues impacting customer experience.
•Support customer communication and confidence by providing transparent quality insights and progress updates.
Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)
•Maintain and develop the Quality Management System to ensure ongoing certification and compliance.
•Lead internal and external audits, ensuring findings are addressed effectively and efficiently.
•Integrate environmental and quality management principles to support sustainable operations.
Cross-Departmental and Supply Chain Collaboration
•Work closely with Research & Development, Customer Value Stream, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure quality standards are embedded in every process and stage.
•Lead structured communication and feedback loops between internal teams and suppliers to drive consistent quality improvement.
•Establish supplier quality performance metrics and oversee supplier development initiatives.

•Deep understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a quality leadership role, ideally within a manufacturing or technology environment.
• Experience leading audits and maintaining ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 certifications.
• Proven success working cross-functionally to improve product and process quality.
• Experience managing supplier quality and developing strong supplier relationships.
