Site Manager – 3 Month Contract
Location: Sunderland
Shift: Monday to Friday – 10-hour shifts
Rate: £400 Day Rate
Contract: LTD (Outside IR35)
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to support a major manufacturing project in Sunderland. This role focuses on the installation of automation systems and machines on site. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day site activity, coordinating multiple installation suppliers, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors and automation teams
Oversee installation and commissioning of automation systems
Ensure CAPEX project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met
Enforce HSE compliance and site safety standards
Liaise with engineering, project management, and client stakeholders
Monitor progress, resolve technical/site issues, and provide regular reporting
Requirements:
Needs high level safety training
CSCS Black card
SMTS or SSSTS
Proven experience as a Site Manager within automation type industry or large-scale CAPEX projects
Strong background in industrial automation or manufacturing environments
Demonstrated ability to manage fast-paced installation and commissioning phases
Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Availability for a full-time on-site 3-month contract
