What you’ll be doing
As a Cook, your focus will be in the kitchen, helping to prepare and present delicious food from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Your food will be served directly to visitors.
* Prepare, measure and mix ingredients using the framework of the National Trust Cookbook.
* Help with deliveries and with keeping the kitchen clean to be compliant with health and safety legislation and ensure service runs smoothly.
* Participate in induction and training in allergens and food safety, with access to mentoring and optional further professional training and development.

* Someone who loves good food and has a friendly, positive attitude.
* Confident following recipes and batch-cooking, and willing to learn.
* Aware of health and safety compliance.

Hours, salary and other details
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work 5 days per week including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts are 8:30 until 16:15.
Salary: £24,862.50 per annum
Duration: Permanent
Interview date: 2nd and 3rd October 2025
Potential start date: 1st November 2025
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence is required as the role involves driving a work van between the production kitchen and 3 outlets.
* The online assessment will be used in place of a CV or traditional application form to help assess strengths and provide role information.
