Our client is an international law firm who were recently recognised for their progressive Equality, Diversity and Inclusion efforts, they are now looking for an analytical and proactive HR Manager to join their growing team in their Manchester offices on a FTC for 14 months.
The main responsibilities for the HR Manager will be to support the Director of HR in the provision of a proactive generalist operational HR service to UK based employees based in Manchester and Birmingham, in support of the business plan.
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:
* Working as a fully integrated and trusted advisor to the partners and line managers within the designated offices while being the first point of contact for all HR queries.
* Assisting and liaising with recruitment teams to provide professional advice and guidance to partners and managers on the recruitment of employees.
* Managing on-line performance management system, resolving issues as they arise and liaising with partners, fee earners and external service provider as required.
* Providing advice to employees on terms and conditions of employment and family friendly policies and managing sickness absence requests.
* Providing advice and guidance to partners and managers on disciplinary, grievance and counselling issues.
* Undertaking exit interviews and disseminating information as appropriate, sharing any trends and issues with the other HR Managers.
* Supervising and helping develop the generalist HR Administrator/Assistant.
The HR Manager will have experience at Managerial level in a professional services organisation or similar environment and ideally, be or working towards their CIPD qualification. The right candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish credible relationships at all levels and have a flexible approach adapting to changing priorities and juggling several tasks. It is essential to be a strong team player and experienced in high pressure environments. The HR Manager will be confident, professional and have a good sense of humour.
