You will be responsible for
Including, but not limited to:
6. Use your in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, React, Node and the tool ecosystem to develop and implement scalable frontend systems
7. Profile and optimise code
8. Produce test driven features in a specific programming language and demonstrate familiarity with the TDD cycle
9. Apply understanding of cohesion and the SOLID principles to create well structured, maintainable software
10. Identify patterns in code and refactor the code towards them where it increases understanding and/or maintainability with minimal guidance
11. Translate requirements into tasks & code
12. Develop high quality code that can lead to rapid delivery, ruthlessly pursuing continuous integration and delivery - CICD
13. Commit code early and often, demonstrating understanding of version control & branching strategies
14. Automate everything by default
15. Write secure code by default
16. Write maintainable code and observe basic hygiene practices
17. Implement relevant project instrumentation
18. Follow the best practices of continuous BDD/TDD/Performance/Security/Smoke testing
·Work effectively with product stakeholders to communicate and translate needs into product improvements
19. Lead group discussions on system designand understand domain well enough to work with Product Managers to drive value
20. Support production systems, resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis
21. Debug/find complex problems and support/maintain the software solution
22. Share knowledge with the wider engineering community
23. Mentor and develop others around you
24. Produce proof of concepts to evaluate new tools
You will need
We are looking for people who have a passion for Technology. You will likely have made open source contributions and have a Github account. You will demonstrate experience of different platforms and technologies. We expect to see some or all of the following:
25. + Years commercial experience as a Frontend Software Developer
26. Best-practices regarding all aspects of web development including design, semantic HTML mark-up, CSS, JavaScript and related technologies
27. Exposure to a variety of JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as: React, Redux, Webpack React-Router and testing with React Testing Library Jest, Cypress, Jasmine, Enzyme, Mocha.
28. Experience of using to create high traffic applications using, Sails, Koa or similar
29. Experience in bringing multiple viewport responsive and adaptive web designs to life
30. Awareness and practice of UI performance best practices
31. Understanding and exposure to integrating REST API endpoints
32. Strong experience and understanding of industry standard web accessibility, web design & usability; to support sites cross browser/platform/device
33. A desire to write readable, maintainable, modular and extendable code
34. Exposure to the DevOps model
35. Experience in Lean and Agile environments and understanding of principles behind methodologies such as: BDD, ATDD and TDD
