Site Manager at Avove Utilities
Join us as a Site Manager in Warrington, North West. The role is full‑time, permanent, starting ASAP. Salary is competitive + benefits.
Responsibilities
* Promote safe working practices and ensure full implementation of the safety responsibility statement.
* Submit accurate site records to enable monitoring of programme and cost plans in the agreed format.
* Carry out toolbox talks, task briefs and COSHH briefs before work commences on allocated contracts.
* Ensure all tasks are undertaken according to the planned safe method of working.
* Brief risk assessments and method statements for on‑site activities.
* Order and receive site deliverables, and provide timely return of goods receipt notices as instructed.
* Supervise sub‑contractors, contract staff and direct labour for site activities.
* Carry out performance reviews for direct reports, administer poor performance, attendance management and disciplinary procedures as applicable.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience managing site operations in the water industry.
* Valid certifications including EUSR SHEA, Water Hygiene, SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely.
* Strong knowledge of Temporary Works.
* Solid understanding of COSHH regulations.
* Proven experience in conducting and applying risk assessments.
* Detail‑oriented, safety‑first approach to project management.
* Leadership skills to promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.
