Location: Weston-super-Mare Pay: £95 - £100 per day Type: Temp Hours: Full time - 8:30 - 15:30 Start date: November 3rd 2025 Elementa is recruiting for a Learning Mentor with a strong background in supporting children with additional needs. The role is based at a specialist secondary provision in Weston-super-Mare for pupils aged 11-16 years, who struggle with social-emotional mental health (SEMH), and who find attending mainstream education a challenge. This role can be challenging, as the children may have other additional needs, such as ADHD and Autism. You will need to be experienced in supporting children with a variety of needs, have strong behaviour management skills, and have experience. Whilst this may be a challenging role, it can also be rewarding to see the children develop and progress with the right support in place. As a SEND Mentor, you will be working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing academic and emotional support, tailored to the needs of the learner. This role will involve picking up learners from home and dropping them back, taking them to activities within the community; therefore, a full, clean driving licence with business insurance is essential. Key Requirements: Full driving licence with business insurance Demonstrated experience in addressing the needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges Passion for creating inclusive and supportive learning environments Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team A DBS subscribed to the update service would be an advantage for this position, to allow for a quick start.
