HR Officer - Manufacturing Are you an experienced HR generalist looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment? A local manufacturing organisation is seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a hands-on, operational setting. The role As HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive generalist HR support across all areas of the business. Working closely with site leadership and line managers, you'll deliver practical, people-focused advice to support business goals, employee engagement, and compliance with employment legislation. The main responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and managers, ensuring advice is aligned with employment law and company policy Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance cases, supporting investigations and outcomes as needed Work closely with managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the site Support key HR initiatives and contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and employee engagement Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations Support absence management through return-to-work interviews, monitoring trends, and identifying interventions Deliver training and guidance to managers on HR procedures and best practices Assist with recruitment activities including job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding The ideal candidate Proven experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting Comfortable working in a fully onsite, fast-paced environment with regular interaction with operational teams Confident managing employee relations cases from end to end Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR policy development Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills CIPD qualified or working towards accreditation What's on offer?
