As a Data Architect within the North East Combined Authority’s Technology and Transformation team, you will shape the future of how the organisation uses data to drive meaningful change. You will lead the development of robust, scalable data structures and frameworks that underpin strategic decision‑making, digital transformation, and operational excellence. This is a pivotal role that places data at the heart of the North East CA’s ambitions, ensuring it is structured, integrated, and optimised to deliver maximum value.
In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders—including senior leaders, technical teams, and external partners—to ensure data is accessible, high quality, and trusted across the organisation. By setting rigorous standards and embedding strong governance practices, you will help create reliable data products, seamless integrations, and a consistent approach to data management. Your leadership will ensure colleagues can confidently rely on data to gain insight, solve problems, and deliver better outcomes for the region.
You will also drive innovation by exploring and adopting modern data technologies, ensuring that the North East CA remains at the forefront of data‑driven capability. From cloud platforms and data lakes to advanced analytics and integration frameworks, you will champion continuous improvement and future‑ready design. Your expertise and forward‑thinking approach will help shape a modern data environment that supports transformation programmes, digital adoption, and the evolving needs of the organisation.
