Recruitment Director | Connecting education sector organisations with exceptional talent. This is an exciting opportunity to grow a busy and dynamic schools division by selling and booking drama workshops in primary schools nationwide, while leading a team and coordinating workshop delivery.
The company
Our client is more than just a drama school – it’s a community dedicated to nurturing creativity, confidence, and life skills in children through drama, dance and singing. They focus on small, imaginative classes, original content, and teachers who are recruited and trained to inspire every child to shine. This role sits in their division dedicated to primary schools, offering educational workshops to Foundation, KS1 and KS2 and National Curriculum Explorer Workshops. They provide a mix of paid and free workshops to primary schools across London, the South-East, and the West. Classes are designed in line with the National Curriculum using tried and tested drama techniques, encouraging children to imagine, recreate historic moments, and explore material with better retention and understanding. They emphasise creativity over elaborate props or costumes.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity to run the schools’ division. You’ll drive growth by selling and booking drama workshops in schools nationwide, build school partnerships, expand reach, organise workshop leaders, and ensure sessions run smoothly. You’ll contribute fresh workshop ideas and support the department’s social media presence to increase impact and opportunities.
Day to day includes:
* Lead the growth and day-to-day running of the school division
* Sell and book workshops in Primary Schools
* Handle correspondence and invoices, including chasing outstanding balances
* Manage a team of telephone advisors
* Ensure teachers have the necessary creative resources for booked workshops
* Contribute to the social media for the schools division
* Occasional other duties, which may involve travel to meetings with schools

To be successful, you will…
* Be an ambitious and proactive sales professional
* Be educated to degree level, ideally in Drama or Dance
* Have a passion for promoting drama within education
* Be incredibly organised, have great communication and management skills
* Have exceptional standards of written and spoken English (good spelling and grammar)
* Be IT literate and have reasonable typing skills with a good knowledge of Excel
* Be able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
* Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Be an excellent and confident conversationalist over the telephone
* Not be afraid to take initiative and think outside the box
* Be calm under pressure
* Have a positive self-starting attitude
