The Vacancy
Wates has an opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team within the Planned Works division. You will be working in the Cambridgeshire area on SHDF energy, net zero carbon works, including EWI, PV, or ASHP installation on planned properties. The primary focus of this role is to ensure projects are built safely, economically, on time, and to quality standards.
Key Accountabilities include:
* Input into and programming of works and short-term planning.
* Managing operatives, sub-contractors, and suppliers to maintain quality control and health and safety standards.
* Attending pre- and post-inspections, advising on actions and job requirements, and assisting with design solutions to ensure successful delivery and handover.
* Preparing weekly site progress reports and submitting them electronically to the Project Manager.
* Sending full and completed job packs to the Project Manager upon work completion, along with details to facilitate swift invoicing and cash flow management.
We seek an experienced Site Manager with a proven track record in internal and external planned maintenance works.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a positive, engaging leadership style. Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
