This is a real opportunity to make a difference for the children that we teach. Sutherland House School Braithwell is an independent special school for autistic children and young people aged 5‑19. We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and caring Site Manager to join our school community. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students and staff by ensuring our site is safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading on all aspects of health and safety across the school site
* Conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulations
* Managing contractors and overseeing site maintenance and repairs
* Supporting emergency planning and safeguarding procedures
* Being a friendly, reassuring presence for staff, pupils, and visitors alike
What We’re Looking For
* A strong understanding of health and safety legislation
* Experience in site or facilities management (school experience is a bonus, but not essential)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A hands‑on, can‑do attitude and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others
* Someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
