About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join a specialist SEN secondary setting in Bexley. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students to develop confidence and independence through Food Technology.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical lessons tailored to meet a range of learning needs. The successful candidate will support students of varying abilities, adapting teaching approaches to ensure every learner can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
You will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team, with access to well-equipped kitchen facilities and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons in line with the curriculum
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of SEN students
Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Unqualified Teacher status with relevant experience
Experience working with SEN students (desirable but not essential)
A passion for Food Technology and hands-on learning
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
