Site Manager
North East
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to support the Project Manager in the day-to-day delivery of construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring all site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with programme, budget, and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
* Support daily operational duties of the project from inception through to completion
* Manage and supervise on-site activities, including labour, subcontractors, materials, and workmanship
* Monitor quality control and ensure work is delivered in line with specifications and standards
* Carry out risk assessments and manage site safety, promoting best practice at all times
* Foster a positive Health & Safety culture across the site team
* Liaise with procurement teams to support effective material purchasing and cost control
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Provide regular progress updates and site reports
* Liaise with residents and relevant third parties as required
Experience & Skills
* Good knowledge of construction methods and processes
* Strong initiative with logical and structured thinking
* Excellent problem-solving ability
* Strong time management and leadership skills
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to understand and interpret complex information
* Computer literate
* Clear understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines
* Team-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively
