This will include working with them in lessons either 1:1 or in small groups, running interventions for them, supporting with related paperwork and co-ordinating with relevant stakeholders.Furthermore this post will be specialising in supporting pupils who access The Hive, our new Specialist Resource Provision for pupils withAutism.
We are looking forSEND Learning Mentorswho are:
* committed team players with energy and drive;
* able to support children with a range of social and emotional challenges;
* able to deliver support, both in lesson and small groups in reading, writing and mathematics;
* dedicated, enthusiastic, patient and caring.
We welcome applications either from those with experience in supporting learning in the classroom or who have experience in supporting children with a range of other special educational needs, or from graduates, who are looking to gain in-school experience before Teacher Training.
The successful candidate will:-

* Enjoy completing their work in a professional and positive manner, relish solving problems and take pride in helping people
* Have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student
* Have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Demonstrate honesty and integrity

* Have knowledge of and experience of working with external agencies and voluntary groups is desirable
* Have a strong academic track record
