Position Summary
The Group Recruiter plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and developing top talent across the aerospace manufacturing group. This position focuses on full-cycle recruitment, onboarding coordination, and supporting employee development initiatives to ensure new hires integrate successfully and continue to grow within the organisation. The ideal candidate will combine strong recruitment expertise with a passion for people development and workforce engagement in a high-performance, technical manufacturing environment.
This position can be based at either location in Christchurch, Bournemouth or Farnworth, Bolton, however travel between both locations is essential for the building of relationships and smooth operation of processes.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
* Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technical, engineering, production, and professional roles across multiple sites within the group. Group sites based in Silcoms – Bolton and Beagle Aircraft – Christchurch.
* Partner with hiring managers and HR Managers to define position requirements, create job postings, and implement sourcing strategies.
* Source and attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, industry events, and employee referrals.
* Conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and facilitate candidate evaluations.
* Provide an excellent candidate experience through consistent communication and professional interactions.
Onboarding
* Coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs for new hires to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
* Develop and deliver onboarding schedules, orientation sessions, and introductions to key team members.
* Collaborate with site HR and department leaders to ensure new employees receive necessary training, tools, and safety briefings.
* Gather feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding experience.
Employee Development
* Support the design and implementation of learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
* Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and development opportunities for both new and existing employees.
* Partner with managers to identify skills gaps and assist in creating development plans.
* Track participation and evaluate the effectiveness of development programs.
Administrative & Reporting
* Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding records within the applicant tracking and HR systems.
* Prepare regular reports on recruitment activity, time-to-fill, and onboarding effectiveness.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant employment legislation.
Qualifications
* Experience:
* 3+ years of recruitment experience, ideally in aerospace, defence, or manufacturing.
* Experience coordinating onboarding and/or employee training programs.
* Skills & Competencies:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
* Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
