Catering Manager - Polaris Multi Academy Trust
Polaris Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Catering Manager at Rastrick High School, a secondary school with over 1700 students. The role is full‑time, working term time only including training days plus five additional days.
Location: Field Top Road, Rastrick, Brighouse, West Yorkshire, HD6 3XB. Position type: Permanent. Salary: NJC Scale points 23‑28: £34,434‑£39,152 per annum FTE. Actual salary £30,195‑£34,333 per annum based on working term time only, plus 5 days.
Core Purpose
* Support the Trust Catering Manager in the provision of an effective and efficient food service and front‑of‑house catering team at Rastrick High School.
* Assist the Trust Catering Manager to consistently deliver the highest standard of food offering to students, staff, parents and visitors while complying with nutritional standards and health improvement initiatives.
* Support the school’s curriculum activities.
* Lead and manage the on‑site catering team.

What You Offer
* Experience of catering management within a large educational setting (minimum 3 years).
* A minimum of Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Experience of food safety management systems based on HACCP.
* Understanding of budgeting and principles of P&L.
* The ability to prepare, cook and present food to a high standard.
* Knowledge of COSHH, H&S, manual handling, electrical safety.
* Being a team player is essential.
* Ability to promote positive behaviour.
