Site Manager – Retrofit & Energy Efficiency Projects\n\n 📍 Cardiff | 📝 Permanent | 💷 Competitive salary + benefits\n\n We’re supporting one of our key property services clients in the search for an experienced Site Manager to deliver innovative retrofit and energy-efficiency projects across occupied residential portfolios. This role is ideal for someone who combines excellent technical knowledge with strong leadership skills, and is passionate about delivering quality, sustainable solutions.\n\n🌟 What you’ll be doing\n\n You’ll take charge of day-to-day site operations, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.\n\n Your responsibilities will include:\n\nPlanning and managing operational delivery of retrofit programmes to meet agreed budgets, targets, and objectives.\nEnsuring compliance with all health, safety, welfare and employment legislation and policies.\nBuilding excellent relationships with clients, residents, and stakeholders, responding promptly to queries.\nDelivering energy-saving measures such as insulation (wall/loft), ventilation, glazing, low/zero-carbon heating, lighting, and other sustainable technologies.\nEnsuring all works comply fully with funding, regulatory and quality standards (ECO, PAS2030/2035, Building Regs, Gas/Electrical regs, etc.).\nManaging and supporting engineers and subcontractors, providing technical guidance and monitoring performance.\nConducting regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are maintained.\nReporting accurately on progress, budgets, and costs in partnership with commercial teams.\nLeading site meetings and briefings, including H&S updates and training as required.\n\n ✅ What we’re looking for\n\n We’d like to hear from candidates with:\n\nCareer progression from trade background/apprenticeship through to Site Management.\nSMSTS, CSCS Managers card, First Aid at Work, IOSH Managing Safely.\nSound knowledge of Temporary Works Procedures.\nStrong understanding of site administration methods and practices.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications.\nGood commercial awareness with the ability to identify contract variations.\nExcellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technology.\nFamiliarity with IT applications including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Power Project.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.\n\n 🌟 Desirable but not essential\n\n Retrofit Coordinator or Retrofit Assessor qualification.\n\n Previous experience delivering retrofit/sustainability programmes.\n\n Project management and/or technical experience with M&E systems or heat networks.\n\n🚀 Why apply?\n\n This is a fantastic opportunity to work on impactful projects that improve homes, reduce carbon emissions, and make a difference to communities.
