Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Back-End Developer located in Liverpool. Its a Volunteer no paid job and will transition into a full time and paid The Back-End Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing server-side logic, developing APIs, maintaining codebases, and optimizing server performance. Additional duties include collaborating with the Front-End team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions.
Qualification
* Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development principles
* Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and advanced programming concepts
* Experience with, Python, or similar backend technologies
* Knowledge of database management systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
* Familiarity with RESTful API development and third-party API integration
* Basic understanding of Front-End Development and ability to collaborate effectively with front-end teams
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently in a hybrid startup environment
* Understanding of scalability, performance optimisation, and system security best practices
* Experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS, GCP, or similar) is advantageous
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred
* Previous experience contributing to open-source, startup, or volunteer development projects is a plus.
