Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH provision in Leigh, supporting students aged 13 to 21 who benefit from a more practical, hands-on approach to learning. We are looking for a Multi-Trades Mentor to start in September, working Monday to Thursday, 08:30–16:30.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a recognised trade certificate (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or higher) in areas such as carpentry, joinery, painting and decorating, plumbing, plastering, or general construction.

Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering engaging and structured sessions in a workshop or classroom environment
* Teaching basic trade skills to small groups of students
* Acting as a mentor and role model for students with SEMH needs
* Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and employability skills
* Maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning space

The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a valid and recognised trade certificate (essential)
* Has hands-on experience in one or more trades
* Confident working with young people, particularly those with SEMH needs
* Calm, patient, and resilient with strong communication skills
* Able to commit Monday to Thursday, 08:30–16:30

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
