A popular and inclusive secondary school on the outskirts of Bristol is seeking a Food Technology ECT to join their friendly and supportive Technology Department from January 2026.
About the Role
The appointed teacher will teach Food Preparation and Nutrition across KS3–KS5, inspiring students to understand the importance of nutrition, sustainability, and cultural diversity in cooking. They will deliver practical and theoretical lessons that build essential life skills and promote healthy living.
The role comes with structured ECT support, including mentoring, reduced teaching hours, and observation opportunities. The department is well-resourced, with fully equipped food technology rooms, modern ovens, and demonstration facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology and Nutrition.
* Encourage creativity and confidence through practical cooking tasks.
* Prepare students for GCSE assessments, including practical and written components.
* Promote sustainability and healthy eating through lessons and school events.
* Contribute to extracurricular clubs such as baking or international cuisine workshops.

Experience and Qualifications
