Reporting directly to the Associate General Counsel, Employment Law, this position is responsible for providing expert legal advice across all employment-related matters. From policy development to managing sensitive employee relations, immigration issues, and internal investigations, this is a hands-on, strategic, and advisory role within a highly regarded legal team.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise on all aspects of employment law including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and terminations.
* Draft, review, and update employment-related policies and guidelines across multiple jurisdictions.
* Manage and oversee employment disputes, investigations, and litigation.
* Partner with HR on disciplinary actions, contractual matters, and workplace conduct issues.
* Monitor legal developments across Europe and Asia to ensure continued compliance.
* Deliver and oversee training on employment best practices, equality, and inclusion.
* Collaborate with the wider Office of General Counsel to enhance processes and maintain consistency in legal advice.
About You
This role would suit a qualified employment lawyer with 6+ years’ post-qualification experience gained within a leading international firm or in-house legal department. You will have a strong grounding in UK employment law, with a solid understanding of European and Asian jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will combine technical excellence with commercial pragmatism, excelling in stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration.
