Academics are currently recruiting for a full-time School Site Manager to join a friendly and well-established school in Maidstone. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibility, ideal for someone with experience in caretaking, facilities, or site management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the opening, closing, and security of the school premises
* Manage day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the site
* Carry out regular health and safety checks to ensure compliance
* Supervise contractors, cleaning staff, and site team members
* Set up rooms and facilities for school activities, events, and lettings
* Ensure the school grounds are safe, clean, and well maintained
* Respond to site-related issues promptly and effectively
* Maintain site procedures and support operational improvements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience in a site manager, caretaker, or facilities role
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
* Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
