Role Description
This is a temp (2 months) full-time, on-site role for a Patient Catering Manager located in the London, Tooting, area. £21.55ph and 40 hour week.
Successful applicants will need to:
* To ensure a smooth & effective running of all patient catering across the contract including menu choices, snacks and beverages, all are fully functioning and offering customers and client best value being fully compliant with CQUIN and in line with the hospital's initiatives.
* Ensure all patients have access to appropriate menus and receive meals regularly which are delivered by the wards, monitoring this service to ensure the meals are served to a high standard.
* Ensure all regulations relating to Food Safety and Health & Safety are adhered with and all KPI standards are delivered across both Patient feeding and retail services.
* Deliver and develop the retail offer for Healthcare, taking ownership and acting as an ambassador for high quality standards always.
* To deliver on all contract specifications as agreed and look for opportunities to exceed these standards under the areas of your responsibility.
* Effectively manage the patient feeding service through the onsite management team through ongoing coaching and development of the managers and their supervisory teams to deliver an exceptional service to the client and patients across the contract.
* Identify areas of cost savings and revenue generation across both patient feeding and retail services and review and evaluate any implications across the contract.
* Work closely with the Contract Director to develop, monitor, and implement strategies to provide a consistent and exceptional service to all customers, patients and client.
* Responsible for meeting and or exceeding the financial targets and delivering the service within the agreed budget staffing hours while ensuring there is enough staff to deliver the services to an exceptional standard every day.
* Ensure delivery of services in line with contract requirements and company expectations.
* Ensure compliance with the catering Operational Manual and Client policy and procedures by all.
* Creates a healthy, safe, and secure environment for all patients, staff and visitors.
* Responsible for ensuring there are adequate staffing levels across all catering areas and in line with the contract specification and demand.
* Plans, allocates and evaluates work carried out by individuals, teams and self and provides and organizes information for action.
* Ensure the department delivers and improves service delivery targets and KPI's
* Manages and develops patient catering teams to always deliver exceptional service.
* Ensure all catering staff are trained to the appropriate levels in line with the client and company requirements.
Qualifications
* Food Safety Level 3
* Standard DBS
* Experience in cooking and managing Food & Beverage services
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Strong leadership and team management abilities
* Previous experience in a healthcare environment is a plus
