The Role As a Back End Developer, youll design, build, and run secure, scalable backend services that power our web applications and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Specifically, youll develop APIs and data models, integrate systems and elevate our services to ensure they are world-class and contribute to supporting the hundreds of thousands of people we serve. In this critical role, youll develop and maintain REST API over serverless functions using TypeScript; youll also design and implement scalable PostgreSQL schemas and data models. The integrations youll be involved with will connect us to external services, including video conferencing, messaging, and payment platforms. Additionally, youll support our robust security infrastructure through best practice and work with front-end developers and product managers to deliver cohesive and user-focused solutions. Occasional travel to our London-based head office and other locations across the UK will be required. About You To be considered as a Back End Developer, youll need: - Significant experience developing back-end systems for production applications - Proven expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, including use within serverless architectures - Strong experience designing secure, performant APIs and data models - Experience managing PostgreSQL databases including, schema design and optimisation The closing date for this role is Sunday 9th November 2025.
